Safety and sustainability: the TIR conference to open the way
image
Organized by TIR, the official body of the National Register of Road Hauliers (MIMS), in collaboration with Transpotec Logitec, the opening conference will look at Italian road haulage in light of the most recent government initiatives. The appointment will be on May 12 at 10:30 a.m.

A moment of reflection and confrontation involving representatives from the main associations and institutions of the sector. It’s precisely with the conference Sustainability and Safety for Italian Road Transport, organized by TIR, the official body of the National Register of Road Hauliers (MIMS), that Transpotec Logitec 2022 will kick off the wide-ranging reflection on the sector and its professionals.

If with the PNRR and Budget Law our Government laid the foundations for modernizing and greening infrastructures and mobility, with the regulatory measures approved in March the decision was to adopt economic interventions in support of trucking companies deeply affected by the increase in fuel prices. A fund designated to reduce excise duties on diesel fuel, an additional allocation for the compensated reduction of tolls and the reduction of undocumented expenses, new funds for the Marebonus and Ferrobonus, are just some of those measures.

Measures to which must be added the 100 million euros allocated by MIMS for renewing the vehicle fleet, which will allow the scrapping of the most polluting vehicles so as to replace them with cleaner and safer latest-generation vehicles.

The result will be a completely renewed road transport, also thanks to the work of the Central Committee of the National Register of Road Hauliers, which guarantees the lawfulness and protection of the sector. The Register is in fact carrying out a series of initiatives to increase contribution compliance of companies, through increasingly accurate checks and massive interrogations aimed at verifying the status of registered companies, both to encourage the training of workers, also with ad hoc communication campaigns, and to improve safety in the sector, with the creation of safer and more protected parking areas.

The appointment with the conference will be on May 12 at 10.30 a.m. in the Manzoni Room (Pav. 24).
