Fiera Milano shines the spotlight once again on transport and logistics: exactly one year to go until Transpotec Logitec 2026

The countdown has officially begun: exactly one year from now, the gates will open for Transpotec Logitec 2026, the leading event for transport and logistics, scheduled at Fiera Milano from May 13 to 16, 2026.

The road transport market in Italy is showing signs of transformation in the first quarter of 2025. Although truck registrations have dropped by -9.4%, encouraging trends are emerging, such as the growing adoption of electric and LNG-powered vehicles. Furthermore, the logistics sector continues to grow, driven by digitalization and the efficiency of intermodal networks, paving the way for a sustainable evolution of the entire industry. Confirming the sector’s vitality, the “Gino Marchet” Contract Logistics Observatory from the Politecnico di Milano reports a third-party logistics revenue of €117.8 billion in 2024, with a nominal growth of 1.7%, underscoring the strategic role of the sector in the national economy. This moderate growth reflects the industry's ability to adapt to new challenges and continuously innovate. According to the Observatory, logistics has become a core function for 65% of client companies, which are increasingly demanding better service and lower environmental impact.

In this context, the recent announcement by the Ministry of Transport of a €600 million fund to renew the vehicle fleet is a significant sign of attention and support for the sector, which must decisively move toward zero emissions. Freight transport and logistics thus reaffirm their central role not only in economic development but also as key players in the ecological and digital transitions.

The year 2025 is therefore a pivotal one for the industry, as the transport sector stands at the crossroads of four major transformations. Sustainability: Europe is leading the charge with increasingly strict environmental regulations. The European Union aims to reduce CO₂ emissions from the transport sector by 90% by 2050, already placing strong pressure on companies to invest in low-emission vehicles and green solutions. Digitalization: Artificial intelligence and big data are becoming essential tools for the future of logistics, and companies are being called to digitize their operations to optimize flows, reduce costs, and increase efficiency. Intermodality: Promoting the transport of goods via multiple means and routes will be essential to improve transport system efficiency and reduce environmental impact. And lastly, staff shortages: the transport sector continues to suffer from a severe lack of professionals, both in traditional roles (like drivers) and in more innovative and strategic ones required by digital transformation.

Against this backdrop of profound transformation, Transpotec Logitec 2026 confirms its role as a key meeting point for professionals, companies, and stakeholders in the supply chain. It will be a moment for networking, discussing prospects, and engaging in dialogue between businesses and institutions to collectively define how to address challenges and urgent issues. It will also be an opportunity to share practical experiences and exchange insights on technologies, regulations, and operational solutions, while also creating connections, generating opportunities, and enabling real change—together.

Following the success of the previous edition, which hosted over 500 exhibiting companies and 33,000 trade professionals from 62 countries, the organizing team is already at work, renewing partnerships with publishers and associations to define key themes and targeted initiatives. As per tradition, there will be live vehicle testing in dedicated outdoor areas, offering hands-on experiences with next-generation vehicles. The Last Mile area is also confirmed, playing an increasingly important role in tackling the challenges of urban logistics and contributing to smarter, more sustainable city mobility.

Once again, Fiera Milano is preparing to become a true hub for road haulage, where innovation, business, and training converge to shape the future of transport.

Mark your calendars now for Transpotec Logitec, May 13–16, 2026, at Fiera Milano.
